1-1 Getting started with VB.NET

首先，打开你的Visual Basic .NET 或 Visual Studio软件。当软件启动时，你将会看到如以下画面显示，如果你使用的软件是：

2008 版本

2010 版本

2013 版本

基本上，以上的页面能让你开启新的project，或者打开已经存在着的。如果你是第一次使用这个Visual Studio软件，你将会看到 ”Recent” 那边是空的 (因为你之前还未开启过一个project)。当你创造一个新的project，你所为它取的名字就会以超链接(hyperlink)的方式，显现在 “Recent” 的下面。点击那个超链接就能打开project了。

位于画面左方，有两个按钮：”New Project”和”Open Project”。一来开始时，点击”New Project”按钮。随后，你将会看到这个框框出现。

对一个初学者来说，通常你只需要选择：”Visual Basic Projects”文件夹内的”Windows Application”。意思就是你将会设计一个程式(program)把它运用在电脑上，运行Microsoft Windows操作系统。

如果你看看图案下部分Name的格子里，你会看到上面写着”WindowsApplication1”。这是你的projects的默认名称。比方说，你的头发天生是黑色，那么黑色就是你头发的默认颜色，明白？这个名字不被鼓励保留。大致上，你大概不会想要你的projects名称都是” WindowsApplication1 ”，” WindowsApplication2”等，是吧？所以点击Name的格子，把默认名字换成：

My First Project

Location的话将它保持原状。格子里是你的”My Documents”里面的文件夹，称为”Visual Studio Projects”。Visual Studio 软件将会帮你创造一个新的文件夹，它的名字将会是你输入Name格子里的名字。因此你的project里全部的档案也将会储存在这个文件夹内。

点击OK按钮，接着你将被带到Visual Basic NET的设计界面(design interface)。你将看到如下图般：
